Professional Background
Amina was the Senior Partner of Oxford & Beaumont Solicitors (now ENSafrica Ghana) and Head of the Corporate & Commercial Practice for many years. She was also the Partner-In-Charge of Oxford & Beaumont Tax Services and Oxford & Beaumont Nominees (company secretarial services). Amina is a Notary Public of the Republic of Ghana. She has over twenty-three years’ post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law practice with specific expertise in general corporate, labour & employment law, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, telecommunications and intellectual property. Prior to joining Oxford & Beaumont Solicitors, Amina was a Senior Associate at Bentsi-Enchill Letsa & Ankomah where she worked for over eight years.
In January 2014, Amina joined Cummins Africa Middle East Proprietary Limited, a fortune 500 company and was the Director and Senior Counsel responsible for the Legal and Corporate Affairs Department in the Company’s regional office in Johannesburg, South Africa. In that role, Amina had the privilege of working across Africa and the Middle East which has been a life changing experience for her.
After over five years at Cummins, Amina returned to private practice and re-joined ENSafrica Ghana in April 2019. Amina is currently the head of the Corporate and Commercial Practice as well as the head of the office.
In the course of her legal career, Amina has led various transactions for which she was ranked a leading lawyer by IFLR1000 Financial and Corporate Guide, Chambers Global Guide and the Legal 500 EMEA including being recently recommended for Corporate, Commercial and M & A transactions by legal 500 EMEA 2020/2021.
Amina was appointed Honorary Consul for Iceland on January 20 2022.
