HONORARY CONSULAR CORPS OF GHANA PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO FAMILY OF FORMER FIRST LADY NANA KONADU AGYEMAN-RAWLINGS

The Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana (HCCGH), led by its Dean, Hon. Dimitrios Avraam, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, following her passing.

During the visit, the Dean, accompanied by members of the Corps, conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family on behalf of all Honorary Consuls serving in Ghana. The delegation expressed their profound sorrow at the loss of a remarkable stateswoman who played a pivotal role in shaping Ghana’s social and political landscape.

Hon. Avraam described Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings as a woman of vision, courage, and resilience whose contribution to the empowerment of women and the promotion of social development remains an enduring legacy. He noted that through her pioneering leadership in the 31st December Women’s Movement, she transformed lives and inspired generations across Ghana and beyond.

The HCCGH delegation also signed the book of condolence, expressing their collective respect and admiration for the late First Lady’s exceptional service to the nation.

The family of the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings expressed their appreciation to the Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana for the visit and the gesture of solidarity during their time of grief.

The Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana joins the Government and people of Ghana in mourning a distinguished leader whose dedication, compassion, and strength will continue to inspire the nation and the continent.
