Shanghai welcomes Belgian techno festival Tomorrowland
Exactly 20 years after the first edition in Boom, the Chinese city of Shanghai rolled out the red carpet for Tomorrowland. It was a magical indoor experience.
On 22 and 23 November, renowned Belgian techno DJs including Dimitri Vegas, Amelie Lens, Amber Broos, Andromedik and Henri PFR raised the roof in Shanghai’s brand-new Hero Dome, specially designed for the indoor spectacle The Magic of Tomorrowland. International top names including Don Diablo, Apashe and Chris Lorenzo also made an appearance. The motto was Let’s Write the Paper Mirage Together. And what a success it was! Tickets were in such demand that the organisers had no choice but to add a second day.
The dance festival has since grown into a unique global event and technical marvel that aims to promote a positive attitude among young people.
