President John Dramani Mahama formally received the Letters of Credence from the new Ambassador of the Republic of Portugal, Her Excellency Mrs. Maria Da Conceicao De Souse Pilar, marking the official beginning of her diplomatic mission in Ghana.

Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Following the presentation of her credentials, President Mahama reiterated Ghana’s commitment to deepening its bilateral relations with Portugal. He highlighted the importance of fostering mutually beneficial partnerships, specifically in trade, economic development, technical and security cooperation, as well as tourism and cultural exchanges.

President Mahama extended his best wishes to Ambassador Pilar on her appointment, expressing his confidence that her presence in Ghana would significantly contribute to strengthening the friendship and exploring new avenues for cooperation between the two nations.
