“Our deepest condolences” following the death of Dr. Aisa Kirabo Kacyira, the Head of the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS).
She brought more than three decades of experience in diplomacy, political leadership, humanitarian
assistance, and development work at local, national, and international levels.
Before taking up her Somalia post, Dr. Kacyira served as Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Ghana and
non-resident representative to Benin, Togo, Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire, and Liberia. Her career also
included service as Governor of Rwanda’s Eastern Province, Executive Mayor of Kigali, and Member of
Parliament.
The Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana HCCGH extends the deepest condolences to the Ambassador
and Staff of the Embassy of Rwanda in Ghana.
