GAF: CDS COMMENDS CONSULAR CORPS OF GHANA

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong- Peprah has commended the Honorary Consular Corps of Ghana (HCCGH) for their support to Ghana’s military in the maintenance of peace and security in Ghana.

He made these remarks when the executive members of the HCCGH led by its Dean – Hon Dimitri Avraam called on the CDS at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra on Tuesday 23 April, 2024.

Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah also encouraged them to cooperate with member states of the Accra Initiative, to achieve its mandate of maintaining regional peace and security.

He further stated that GAF cherishes, and is grateful for the support it has from the Consular Corps in the areas of logistics, training and capacity building for personnel of the Armed Forces.

Hon Dimitri Avraam presented the history of the Corps to the CDS, after congratulating him on his appointment to the highest office in GAF.

He expressed the commitment of the Corps to strengthen the cooperation with GAF.
